Crisis Simulations International Senior Leader Crisis Education

THE PHILOSOPHY

CSI DISTINGUISHES between education and training. Although both are valuable, they serve different purposes. Training seeks to develop habit and instinct so that trained people can act quickly and without even having to think. Drills and field exercises are excellent training tools. Education fosters familiarity but not habit; it develops the ability to face a dilemma, think deliberately, rapidly, and effectively about it, and decide upon a course of action. It's what senior leaders have to do when they're confronted with tough decisions and heartbreaking tradeoffs, when time is of the essence and there is no way (or no time) to get the information they want.

CSI provides crisis leadership education to key leaders of an organization by developing and presenting a realistic, customized multimedia-based simulation of a crisis event, guiding them through their management of the crisis, and working with them to analyze and improve their response strategy, tactics, decision making and communication.
